amazing art and drawing inspiration from colorful living spaces to a blender that makes delicious sorbet and classic bikes from Denmark, this week’s Guest Hunter, Eva Marino’s got a ton to share. Eva is the Buyer/Area Manager for Helene M., a women’s boutique with several stores throughout New England. In addition to her day job, she’s got a blog and is a stylist – even takes clients on shopping trips to find practical pieces that work into their existing wardrobe. Smart, right?
Eva grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and headed to Key West (her heart’s home) after college where she worked at her parents’ art gallery/studio. She then moved to the Northeast to start her career in fashion. Got a dog, met her husband and has made quite a life for herself. They live in Portsmouth, NH with their 2 crazy dogs and are expecting their first baby in August! When she’s not busy blogging, styling, sourcing new products for the shop, and working with clients, Eva’s planning her next escape from the cold (which she hates, by the way). Her travels near and far have influenced her and we thank this energentic lady with a great eye for sharing her picks from places near and far!
HOME:

Home Inspiration
Home design inspiration- Color and light!

Olaf Hajek 'flowerhead' Illustration
Olaf Hajek’s paintings just make me so happy. I love the colors, the content, and the liveliness. I think that artwork and photographs which reflect your tastes make your surroundings a much happier place. I am SO picky about what I put on my walls so we are still working on it, but if I could, this is what I would purchase next…

Fresco Towels
My dream bathroom has these lovely amazing towels stacked in a big basket next to the tub…I am obsessed with the rich colors and tapestry inspired designs… Gorgeous.

Stella Candle by Tocca
I have an affliction for expensive candles… I also love the jo malone, but this one edges out all the others just for the sheer fact that I adore the citrus-y feminine scent. It fills your home with fresh sweetness and even my husband loves this one. Cannot get enough.
HERS:

Mulberry Oversized Alexa in Deer Brown Silky Snake Print
If I could own only one bag for the next 10 years, this would be my choice, hands DOWN! The neutral color, the gorgeous rich texture, and the shape all make this a timeless classic, seasonless and big enough for everyday essentials… Someday.

Chloé Scalloped Elaphe Ballet Flats
Being pregnant and working on my feet all day pretty much limits me to flat footwear. But you needn’t sacrifice femininity for comfort! These Chloe flats, with their scalloped edges and animal print will liven up any pair of jeans and tee.

Homage Attar
Ever since I discovered Homage Attar through luckyscent.com, I have been ordering samples of this magical fragrance. The scent is like a thousand roses crushed, with spicy undertones evocative of a turkish market, kohl lined eyes, and exotic mystique… Yes, I get that carried away every time I smell it. At $355 a bottle, it will put you back, but literally only a dab is what you need. I get compliments every time I wear it.
HIS:

Ray-Ban Wrap Aviator Sunglasses
I love a man in Aviators… Whenever I look at any type of men’s product, I think “would my husband wear that”? He is so unfussy, but always looks put together. Every item that I selected for men’s products is devoted to him…

Adidas Originals Samba
I really love old school style Adidas, as they sort of take me back to my high school days in Ann Arbor, where all the cool boys wore these shoes… There is something timeless and always hip about them. And I know for a fact that my husband would wear them (cause he told me he would)…

The Eiger Waterproof Field Jacket
One word- SEXY! Streamlined, practical, and perfect for an unfussy man. They are sold out of this jacket til Fall, but that is all the more reason to covet it! I really love the aesthetic of this brand.
BABY/KIDs:

Uppababy Vista Stroller
I am only listing items that I currently am obsessing over for my baby. This stroller is just everything I want- awesome color, great review, and superchic. Drool!

Moby Wrap Baby Carrier
I saw a woman wearing her baby in one of these like an accessory and I immediately decided that I would own one. It has the feel of a sling, but distributes the weight evenly, and puts less strain on your back. What isn’t to love?

Mustela Bebe Shampoo
My friend uses this on her baby and it smells heavenly. Baby Scent +Mustela is to die for….
FOOD:

Vitamix Blender
Vitamix is simply the best blender there is. I went to a friend’s house for dinner, and she made a sorbet with a handful of ice cubes, some tangerines & berries, and honey. It was creamy perfection and I was sold. That was 2 years ago and I still don’t have one, but I am working on it!

Cooks Illustrated
Cooks Illustrated in my opinion is the most informative and best written cooking journal out there.. I love the reviews on kitchen tools, the fabulous recipes, and the no nonsense format. Any foodie should have a subscription to this amazing journal.
GREAT THINGS:

David Lerner Maternity Leggings
I have recently discovered these high quality leggings and am completely hooked. I own the maternity version and wear them TOO often!

Velorbis Classic Bicycle
I think this company makes the prettiest, most vintage perfect style of bicycles. Since I sold my scooter last summer I have been lusting over this style. All the accessories that they sell along with the bicycles just elevates them to higher coolness… Ouch!

Kate Somerville Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
Simply the best exfoliater I have ever used. Not cheap, but just. SO. Effective!
