Aztec Print

For years..

Eleven Paris Aztec Print Dress

Eleven Paris Aztec Print Dress

summer has been all about comfort for me – and that means dresses. The Aztec Print Dress from Eleven Paris is pretty much ideal. It has an oversized cut, thoughtful details and just the right amount of edge.  Basically an everyday piece that’s totally stylish without trying too hard. Not to mention, perfect for transitioning to the warmer weather with accessories like a pair of black booties. Once again, it’s just easy, and I’m sold.

Sun Gaze Maxi Dress

Pretty much..

Sun Gaze Maxi Dress, $388

Sun Gaze Maxi Dress, $388

the ideal piece for anything from a rehearsal dinner to a Saturday wondering around the city. This Maxi Dress from French Connection is made from silk chiffon. It comes fully lined, has a fairly high neck, spaghetti straps, and is offered in several colors (I’m eyeing the blue). Loving simple print and easy cut, it’s hard one to not add to my list of must-haves for summer 2012.

and little jackets as layering pieces for spring. They’re perfect to throw on with jeans and a tee to make a look your own.  Zara’s April Lookbook has some good ones.  Easy pieces, that are reasonably priced and make the statement we’re looking for.

kuukukka

Tons..

Candy Block Vest

Candy Block Vest

of very cool pieces from kuukukka, a store in Toyama Japan that carries everything from bags to bottoms for women as well as a sweet little collection of kids’ clothing and accessories.  The site is full of easy to wear silhouettes, fun prints and vibrant colors.  And they do a bespoke line – using their textiles, which are limited in quanity. I’m totally in love with the Candy Block Vest and the Run Run Run Dress, but the more I look, the more I want. Pieces that are great for layering and totally fun.

Reality Studio Animal Pullover

It’s..

Reality Studio Animal Pullover, $165

sweater season and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Granted, the cold will  get old real fast, but right now, I’m very into the change of seasons.  Recently came across Shop Koshka, which is an amazing online boutique out of LA and one that’s worth putting on your radar (if it’s not already).  They’ve got a ton of unique and emerging brands like Reality Studio, the brains behind this pullover that’s made with a faux fur fabric front and jersey back.  The cut looks amazing and those quilted pants they’re shot with look pretty fantastic too.

Jen Kao Resort 2012

Despite the fact..

Jen Kao Resortwear 2012

that Resort won’t be hitting stores for months, I’m pretty excited about what I’ve seen. One line worth noting is contemporary designer Jen Kao’s 2012 Resort Collection. This is her first time doing Resort, and in comparison to Kao’s previous seasons, it’s pretty tame. The edge is definitely still there though and so are the amazing, unique details the designer is known for. A tight assortment that’s all about “easy dramatics” – practical, super wearable pieces Kao herself would take on vacation. The whole line is pretty incredible, but here are 3 looks that will definitely be in my suitcase.
